The Seven Centimeters Hem Length Rule

Fashionable Hem Lengths in Skirts and Dresses
7.5cm Above Knee
Notes:
Should be worn with taupe hose or hose the color of garment - no bare legs unless you're on the beach. This length is for shapely legs only! Wear with long jackets or sweaters for a lean look unless a full skirt, then a shorter jacket or sweater.
7.5cm Below Knee
Wear with neutral hose or hose the color of the garment. Very straight skirts can be worn with finger tip jackets or sweaters; full skirts should be worn with short jackets and sweaters.
7.5cm Above Ankle
Wear with neutral hose or hose that is the color of the garment. Short jackets and sweaters look best with this length.

Wear with short skirts or very straight 7.5cm below the knee skirts.
Wear with straight leg pants.
Short Jackets/Sweaters
Wear with long skirts, full or straight.
Wear with pants, straight or full leg.
